The event, entitled ‘Values, Society and Sustainability in a Turbulent World’, takes place from 6–8.30pm on Friday 7 June 2019 in Room C101 in the Cockcroft Building.
It is hosted by the university’s Values and Sustainability Research Group (VSRG) and marks the launch of the Portal for Shared Values, a new VSRG services portal funded through a Research and Enterprise Kick Start grant and with the support of the School for Computing, Engineering and Mathematics.
Professor Sir David King is a Senior Strategy Adviser to the President of Rwanda. He was UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser from 2000 to 2007 and the Foreign Secretary’s Special Representative on Climate Change from 2013 to 2017, working with 165 Climate Change Attaches in UK Embassies.
He served as Founding Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford.
